Unprotected wells are susceptible to contamination, making the community vulnerable to disease and infections that could lead to death.
The Protected Groundwater Wells for Indigenous Families program helps to fund our Bolivian NGO strategic partner organization, Suma Jayma. WEFTA has worked closely with Suma Jayma for over 15 years, drilling, developing and protecting groundwater wells, and providing health and hygiene education for Indigenous families living on the Altiplano of Bolivia.
Funding for this program will help keep the Suma Jayma team working as we continue collaborating to find solutions and improve access to safe reliable water for the indigenous families of the Bolivian altiplano.
Thank you for making a positive impact with us!
